Attendees are not required to attend all three dates, but it is highly recommended.

Prior to registering, staff must get approval from their respective program, as there is no mechanism for regional programs to approve their staff after an individual has registered.

Pro Bono Case Requirement: In order to register for this training, all participants must:

(1)Register with Pro Bono New Jersey

(2)Enroll with LSNJ and/or a regional program, and

(3)All pro bono attorneys who register for this training are required to take at least one state tax case*** from LSNJ or a regional program. While we expect to be able to provide each registered attorney a case for representation at the time of the training, in the event that is not possible, we will continue to refer cases during the six-month period following the training.

*** Pro bono volunteers are only required to take one state tax case even if registering for multiple days of this training series.

As of April 30, 2022, LSNJ has been renewed as an Accredited/Approved Service Provider for NJ Continuing Legal Education. This means that this training or other event has been (presumptively) approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 3 hours of total NJ CLE credit. Of these, 0 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism, 0 qualify as diversity, inclusion, and elimination of bias and 0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in civil trial law, 0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in criminal trial law, 0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in workers compensation law and 0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in matrimonial law.

PLEASE NOTE: For live, in-person training events, LSNJ deducts credits if a participant arrives late or leaves early. We use a rounding system so if you miss from 1 to 25 minutes of instruction time, we subtract .5 credit. If you miss between 26 and 50 minutes of instruction time, we subtract 1.0 credit and so on. For webinar events no partial credit will be given.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Even with a grant of presumptive credit, it is possible that the Board on CLE can issue a “disapproval” of NJ CLE credits for this event. LSNJ works hard to ensure full compliance with all BCLE Regulations to minimize such a possibility. However, if any event sponsored by LSNJ receives a “disapproval” of NJ CLE credits, all attorneys who attended the event will immediately be notified via e-mail. LSNJ will also likely appeal any such “disapproval.” See BCLE Regulations 302:4, 302:5, 302:6 and 302.10.

Please call  LSNJ's main number, 732-572-9100 after 7:00am for announcements concerning specific information about office closings, delayed openings or other emergency information.
